Wynnefield Community Neighborhood Association Inc. (WCNA) attended the 31st Annual MLK Day of Service as a participating Registered Community Organization, and we served the community in the Educational Play Area of the Kids’ Carnival. Global Citizen hosted this amazing event at their signature site at Temple University. WCNA served alongside many organizations in the spirit of Dr. King’s legacy. Neighborhood Preservation Committee Update: Our Neighborhood Preservation Committee creates opportunities for neighbors to come together to maintain the beauty and character of our Wynnefield community. Wynnefield expansion plans & updates: New Indego Bike Station coming to Wynnefield on February 25, 2026 @The Hawthorn apartments, 53rd Morse Street, 19131. See site plans below. New Indego Bike Station at the Overbrook Station on November 20, 2025. See site concept plans below. Indego representatives have been working in partnership with the Wynnefield Community, touring the neighborhood and sharing ideas for potential Indego sites. Bala Cynwyd Middle School’s Advanced Choir was recently featured on 6-ABC News in December 2024 for giving the gift of song and spreading holiday cheer through their superb performance at the Wynnefield Community Neighborhood Association’s 4th Annual Holiday Toy Giveaway! A big shoutout to Ms. Sterner-Porreca and the Advanced Choir for sharing the magic of the holidays with our community! The Knights, under the direction of music teacher Anne Sterner-Porreca, filled the event with festive spirit and joy, as their beautiful harmonies and vibrant vocals not only brought smiles to attendees but also highlighted the power of music to unite and inspire during the season of giving.
